Reviews
Miss Anna has got her first reviews on Amazon.com, and they are nice ones, too. If you've read the book, don't hesitate to write a few words on Amazon, or in a comment here. It is always good to know what the readers think, even if it isn't all glory!

Miss Anna's Frigate
Yes, that's the sequel to Gunboat Number 14. It is currently being edited and will hopefully be available soon. It features many of the characters known from Gunboat #14 and is set during the winter of 1809. Here is the teaser:
In the early months of 1809 a British frigate is trapped in the ice of the Baltic Sea. While Sweden's war against Russia continues and Stockholm itself is threatened by invasion, several groups plot against the unsucessful king.
Female spy and adventuress Anna Wetterstrand had hoped for a quiet winter together with her beloved Eric. But now the unforeseen events force her to take action and question her loyalties and love. Will she be able to save the king - and herself?

February 2010 news
The revised 2010 edition has now been available at amazon.com for a few weeks. It's the same story of course, but the editing is better and the book is only 210 pages, which brought the price down to 18 USD.
Accordingly, the e-book at smashwords is now the new edition. It is still free, though.
Also, I'd like to quote a reader's comment which made me smile.

"I loved his book, Gunboat Number 14 - check it out - I dare you not to adore the lovely Anna, and will fight you if you don't."

Background: New book about Sveaborg
I just got this interesting book for Christmas. It is in Swedish, by Magnus Ullman, a writer of history books who previously has published several books related to Swedish maritime history. This one is about the sea fort Sveaborg and partly also about the gunboat war of 1808. It also features some brand new illustrations of gunboats under sail and in action.
The book can be ordered here.
And here are two of the gunboat pictures from the book.
